We were greeted at the staging area by one of our own, one of Wichita Falls finest, Officer Danny Atnip. Thank you for all you do for us & the citizens of Wichita Falls..
Kyle & Amy arrived. Amy (above) has a new Harley and apparently, I got a picture of her on it, but not of the bike itself...CRS is a terrible thing!!
Another one of Wichita Falls finest arrives to check on the gathering, one of our own, Sgt. Van Dotson. I thought the Motorcycle Division was off today and got a surprise when I went flying around a car on US-82, when I saw a motor officer running radar. Luckily for me, he had already clocked someone else because he was getting ready to pull out. I thought I'd been nailed for sure.. I want to say thank you to the speeder that got nailed..You saved me a ticket...
Here is Leslie & Kenny as they arrive and pull up to the gas pumps
Bobby arrives and the folks go over to talk with him
This is Desirea. I noticed her taking a picture of the group from the backseat of a pickup truck. I went over and asked her if she wanted a picture sitting on one of our bikes. Her mom said it was ok, and here is Desirea. Her choice of bike to sit on: Sgt. Dotson's Police Harley Davidson.
Here is Desirea with some of the Blue Knights TX XX, in Wichita Falls Texas. It was nice meeting you Desirea and thank you Mrs. Conners for giving us permission to take her picture with us and put it on the blog with us.. Left to right: Bobby, Sgt. Dotson, Steve, Rodney (Road Captain) Kyle (Vice President), Desirea, Mark, Vickie, Bud & Kenny.

We pull out and take US-287 to TX-79. Here we head North on TX-79
The view behind me towards the rear of our formation. We ride staggered when we have more than one or two bikes, for safety reasons..

We are crossing the Red River & into Oklahoma

We get to Bill's Catfish in Waurika and park the bikes out front. For more info on this GREAT place to eat, see: http://www.billsfh.com/History.htm
First thing I notice as I took this picture, was that the sign was missing off the roof. I first came here to Bill's Catfish in 1976 and this was the first time I have even noticed the sign missing. I ask the owner, Jeri, when we got inside, where the sign was and she said for the first time in 47 years, it was blown off during a storm. But not to worry, she said a new, better sign is being made & will be put up soon.
A bunch of other motorcycles were already there when we got there. I talked to some of the riders and they had ridden down from Duncan Oklahoma to eat at Bill's. Jeri said they were part of a Poker Run going on that day
Our table: Leslie, Kenny, Vickie & Bobby
Left side working back to me: Vickie, Bobby, Kyle, Amy, Mark, Bud, & Buzz.
Steve. He had just worked another mid shift but came with us. He will go home & sleep when we finish. He probably will sleep better with a belly full of catfish. I know I do and that's even after sleeping all night.
ALL Bikes are welcome and we have some great door prizes. This is a fundraiser ride for the Miracle League "Field of Dreams". Phase I was the building of the ball field that kiddo's with special needs & handicaps, can play baseball on and not get hurt. This even includes kids that are currently in or confined to wheel chairs. The fundraiser ride we are putting on is to help with Phase II, the building of the family friendly Restrooms and Concession stand. I personally invite everyone to attend this worthwhile cause and help us, help the kids who haven't had the chance to play before, have a great place to join together & play America's favorite past time, Baseball. For more info, see this link: http://www.fallsmiracleleague.org/aboutus.php

We start South on Hwy 79 and approach the Red River
Crossing the Red River and into Texas on the other side
We cross back into Texas and are greeting with a Welcome to Texas state line sign
North on Tx-79 towards Wichita Falls
I tried something new that I had seen Russ do a year or so ago. I held the camera low and did a shot from boot level. Came out pretty good considering we were being knocked around by a cross wind
We continue North on Tx-79. We are just South of Dean Texas here..
We got back on Northbound US-287 and returned to Wichita Falls where we all split up. Here is Steve as we head South on US-281

Vicki heading South on US-281.. I didn't mention this earlier because I had another brain fart: Vicki is Rodney's wife, Leslie is Kenny's wife and Amy is Kyle's wife..
Last pic of today's run is off Rodney, our Road Captain and one of my best friends. Ya did good, Buzz!!! I thoroughly enjoyed today's ride and I thank the members of the Blue Knights TX XX and their wives for coming out today. It was great riding and I enjoyed seeing everyone again and I can't wait until we meet again. And thank you, camera, for retaining all these pictures...
