Here is Bud as we head out on East boundUS 82.
We get down to Four Stars Motorcycle Ranch 23 miles later and find Sissy hard at work selling motorcycles to some folks lookin' for a good bike..
While we wait for Sissy, we walk around and look at the different bikes for sale
I point out my next bike to Bud..This one will be great on gas but the extension cord will be VERY expensive.. When I got home, I notice they threw my sold sign on the floor...Now I'm depressed....(grin)
We walk to the side of the building and what do we have here? It was picked up in Montgomery Alabama...Could it be.......
Yes, I do believe it is Sissy's new 09 Harley Tri Glide Trike!! Bud looks it over and approves...Sissy, ya done good!! For more info on Harley-Davidson of Montgomery Alabama, see this link: http://www.h-dmontgomery.com/

The right side. This is one good looking ride...
The various gages & sound system. This has it all: FM radio, CD player, CB radio
The engine & I think that says 103 cu in, which is close to 1700 cc, I think..
The left side
Ya got to have that sheepskin for a nice comfortable ride...If that is Sissy's original sheepskin, it has a very interesting history..
Some of the other used Harley's for sale at Four Stars Motorcycle Ranch.
Sissy (orange) talking with potential buyers of the Ultra Classic, Keith & Beverly.
Sissy, Beverly & Keith looking at Sissy's new trike. Hopefully Keith & Beverly will be bike owners soon and start riding on our various runs with us. If so, ya'll will be seeing more of them and their bike on the blog.
Bud & I went inside were it was cooler and here is Robert enjoying a sandwich & drink for lunch. Robert is the owner of Four Stars Auto Ranch & the Motorcycle Ranch and he rides a Harley Screaming Eagle..I may be wrong but I think his is an Ultra Classic.
Also Inside, we run into our friend and fellow PGR member, Louis. Here is Louis & Bud
Me & Louis. He had a big bushy beard last time I saw him. But he looks good in that big ol' moustache...
Some more bikes on the south side of the building
Great lookin bike on the showroom floor

We said goodbye to Sissy and headed home to Wichita Falls Texas via Lake Arrowhead. It was a cool 88 degrees so it was a good ride..Here is Bud behind me as we go through the back roads

On Sept 19, 09, the Blue Knights TX XX is sponsoring a Fun Run for the Miracle League Field, Phase II. The Fun Run is to help raise funds for Phase II, the building of a concession stand and family friendly restrooms. The Miracle League Field, basically, is a ball field for the kids with needs and special disabilities, that will get a chance to play baseball on, their "Field Of Dreams". For more info on the Miracle League see this link: http://www.fallsmiracleleague.org/aboutus.php . Here is the entrance to the Miracle Field. The Field is located at 4709 Barnett Rd Wichita Falls, Tx next to Hoskins Field, out by the stadium. The Miracle Field was opened on April 11, 09.
Bud, wearing the Blue Knight TX XX colors, stands under the entrance sign.
Here is the dedication monument, just inside the entrance.
If you click the picture, look at the ball field layout and the building behind the ball field is where the restrooms/concession will be.
The playing field is made of a flat material that is made with making injuries non existant and flat so that the kiddo's in wheelchairs can play too.. Something they never could have done on a regular ball field.
The bleachers & covered dugouts.
Bud checking the field out, by the other dugout & bleachers.
There are numerous signs depicting some of those who made this dream become a reality
Looking back out to the parking area from the bleachers. The landscaping is tastefully done and immaculate in appearance. I might also add that there are an abundance of Handicap Parking Only spots right there by the entrance where the motorcycles are parked.
This Miracle League Ball Field project was started by The Junior League of Wichita Falls but it took Community involvement to see it thru. I thank the Junior league for the great undertaking and I look forward to working with them on the Fun Run, so that the motorcycle community can help out and be a part of the Phase II accomplishment.
I would like to extend a personal invitation to all bikers & viewers of this blog, to attend this Fun Run, if you live close or are in the area on Sept. 19, 09. I will be getting a flyer shortly and will post it on the blog as well in every business I can get one to, within 100 miles of Wichita Falls. It is open to ALL bikes and even if you don't ride a bike, you are welcome to participate. I can think of no greater cause for us to unite in, than this, for our kids with special needs & disabilities. Because, as a saying I have used time & time again: "But for the grace of God, go I"
This will conclude this post. I had a good time riding with Bud today and going down to Hennrietta to see Sissy. With the low temps, 88 when we left and 91 when we got back home, we almost put on our parkas... For those new to North Texas Bikers, it has been 105+ for the past couple of weeks...
Please mark down the 1st Annual League Fun Run 2009 on your calendars and come be part of this great undertaking. Help us show the area that we bikers are a compassionate group as we have done over & over again in the past. I know I am proud to be part of this community and of my biker brother & sisters, here, in the US and worldwide.
