1st Annual Miracle League Fun Run Wichita Falls Texas 9-19-09

This coming Saturday, 19 Sept 09, is the 1st Annual Miracle League Fun Run being held here in Wichita Falls Texas. It is being hosted by the Blue Knights TX XX and ALL proceeds go to the Miracle League "Field of Dreams" Phase II project, the building of the concession stand and family friendly restrooms. Phase I was the building of the injury proof ball field for special need kids, so that they could experience the joy & fun of playing America's favorite past time: Baseball.

What are special need kids? they are the kids in Wheel Chairs, the kids with birth defects and kids with injuries. Any kiddo that you see that could not otherwise play baseball with the other kids on a regular baseball field, are the special needs kids. These are the kids that have special needs to make it through life. These are the kids that this ride will benefit.

I invite all of you in North Texas, Southern Oklahoma and passing thru the area, to join us in this worthwhile endeavor and help us help the kids. Nothing is more fulfilling than to see a small boy or girl, break into one of those big smiles when he/she gets to hit a baseball for the first time.

Won't you please join us? I look forward to seeing & meeting all of you there. The weather is forecasted to be partly cloudy & 82 degrees Saturday, which is perfect for the 90-100 mile fun ride. Click on the flyer below for more info.
