Russ Gets His NEW Harley 8-29-09

Today, Saturday, 8-29-09, Russ called and asked if I wanted to ride up to Moore Oklahoma with him & Linda. He was going up to Moore Oklahoma to surprise Linda by trading in "The Black Knight", his 07 Harley Ultra Classic, and getting a new bike. I was tied up with Janice until about noon and couldn't go. On their way home, Russ & Linda, stopped by my house to show me their new bike. Scroll down and take a look at this beauty and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

This is "The Black Knight", Russ's Harley that he rode up to Moore Oklahoma to Fort Thunder Harley Davidson, and traded in on his new bike. Adios Black Knight, it's been a pleasure riding with you & Russ.. May your new owner ride , respect & love you as much as Russ did.

Say hello to Russ & Linda's new bike, "The Iceman". The Iceman is a 2010 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Limited Edition, with a 103 Cu In Motor and a fantastic paint job they call Black Ice. What the paint does is, when the bike is inside, it looks solid black. When rolled outside into the light, the bottom half turns blue & purple. And the metal flake in the paint just adds to the beauty of this bike

Linda, Russ & "The Iceman". For more info on Fort Thunder Harley Davidson in Moore Oklahoma, see this link: http://fortthunderharleydavidson.com/

You can see some of the blue & some of the purple that the paint changes to. I have to say this is one GREAT looking bike. Russ, ya done good...

The instrument panel & gas tank

The left side: Engine, horn etc

"The Iceman" from the rear. It's got a bigger tire on it than the "Black Knight" had.

Russ's Gremlin Bell. I still look for mine in the area of US-82, where it came off my bike..

That 103 cu in engine

Closer view of the instruments. Russ says the emblems even light up

Russ & Linda with their new pride & joy

Linda & Russ get ready to ride off to their house..

Russ & Linda heading down the street.
This will conclude this post. Russ & Linda have a great looking new addition to their family. I look forward to riding with them. Janice wants me to get an Ultra Classic and I haven't wanted one because I don't particularly like fairings and radio's etc on my motorcycles. BUT, after looking at Russ's bike, Janice just may get her wish here in the next few months..
Unless, I go out on the bike tomorrow, this will be my last post for several weeks. I have surgery Monday morning and will be off the bike for the next 6-8 weeks. If ya'll would, pray for my recovery and I know that prayer works & I will be back on the bike soon. Thanks..

  2. thats a real beauty, i love the color shift. demo the ultra john, you may find the fairing is such a luxury with the wind breaking/deflecting qualities, and enough storage for any/all types of rides.

hope you managed to get a in ride before monday. thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery!! :)
