Biker Roadhouse, Saint Jo Texas 8-13-09

On September 19, 09 the Blue Knights TX XX is putting on a fun run to help raise funds for the Miracle League "Field of Dreams". Phase 1 of the project was to build a ball field for the kids with special needs, wheel chair bound and other medical problems. This ball field would give the kids a chance to play baseball & do something they would normally not be able to do, due to their disabilities. The ball field has been built. The fun run bike ride fundraiser is to help out on Phase II, which is the building of the concession stand and family friendly restrooms. Today, Thursday, 8-13-09, David, Bud & I rode out to Saint Jo Texas to drop off a flyer for the ride at the Biker Roadhouse. Scroll down & join us on this quick ride and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE...

This is the flyer for the Miracle League Fun Run on Saturday 9-19-09. If you are in the area or passing thru, come join us. It's for a great cause and I am sure the kids, who will benefit from the ride, will appreciate it..

We met at the at the gas station and gassed up. Here is David with his new helmet. His new helmet has a drop down visor as seen in this picture

My PGR sticker on the bike. All three of us, in addition to being members of the Blue Knights TX XX (http://www.blueknightstxxx.com/), are also proud members of the PGR-North Texas Area (http://www.patriotguard.org/) and (http://www.txpgr.org/)

David, Bud & me at the gas pumps, just prior to heading out to breakfast and Saint Jo Texas. This photo was taken by Johnnie

This is Johnnie & Larry. They ride their Harley all over. Johnnie told me she is in the photography business. They are going to contact me and I will add them to our ride notification list, so you all should be seeing more of them in future posts as they ride with us and we get to know them better. When that happens, I will do a post on Johnnie's photography work and you all can contact her for your needs in that area.

We get to the Pioneer Of Texas (the old Pump Jack Diner) and get seated. Here I sit with David talking to Toni, our waitress, over my right shoulder.

We got off US 287 and are now heading East on US 82. Here are David & Bud as we roll thru Henrietta Texas

We cleared Henrietta Texas and a short time later, arrived in Nocona Texas. Here we are entering Nocona Texas

Entering the Saint Jo Texas city limits

We get to the Biker Roadhouse, located in the town square in Saint Jo. This is Vanese, owner of the Biker Roadhouse. For more info on this great biker owned & biker operated business, see this link: http://www.bikerroadhouse.com/..

David & Bud in the Biker Road house

This is Toxie, owner of the Biker Roadhouse, and Vanese's husband. He is a great guy and interesting to talk to. He definitely knows his stuff about bikes...

Toxie & Vanese, owners of the Biker Roadhouse in Saint Jo Texas. Whether you live in the area or just passing thru, you need to stop in at the Biker Roadhouse and say hi to Toxie & Vanese & look around and take advantage of the different sales they have going. Some stuff is 40-50% off. Check their site for more details: http://www.bikerroadhouse.com/ These are great folks and a great biker apparel & accessory store..

The Biker Roadhouse in Saint Jo Texas. The building is for sale and the location on the town square is prime. If you're looking for a place with high visibility, established location and fairly roomy to start your business, give Toxie & Vanese a call today and learn more about the building...If they sell the building, I believe they are moving the Biker Roadhouse to Nocona..Which is closer to our town of Wichita Falls...So, add them to your prayer lists that they get a buyer..

Another view of the Biker Roadhouse. Saint Jo Texas

Bud, as we get ready to head back to Wichita Falls Texas.. Speaking of the BoozeFighters M/C, :) , I want to take this opportunity to say: SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BOOZE FIGHTERS M/C CHAPTER. Bud is not a Boozefighter nor are David & I. I just remembered I told one of the members I would put that in the post after seeing a Support Your Local Boozefighters cap..

David as we get ready to leave the Biker Roadhouse parking lot

David took this pic of Bud & I as we get ready to head back to Wichita Falls

I have been going to Saint Jo and the Biker Roadhouse for 2 yeas now. In all that time, I have apparently never looked North prior to entering the business, because this is the first time ever, I have noticed the water tower

and we head back West on US 82 enroute to Wichita Falls, Texas. Toxie said he will put the Fun Run flyer we gave him, on his website..Be sure to check out his site and the flyer

Bud as we head West on US 82

This pic was on Bud's camera. I am in the left lane and David is in the right lane. I did not know where this was taken but we are heading somewhere

Here I am as Bud practices the method of taking pics while rolling at 70 mph..He did good.

Inside, we see one of our Blue Knights TX XX members, hard at work as a Clay County Deputy Sheriff, Dep. Ron Smith Here are Ron & I

Ron is a very hard working professional Law Enforcement officer and a definite asset to the Clay County Sheriff's Office. He also is a fellow Veteran. Thank you Ron for your service to our great country and your continued service to it's citizens as a Deputy Sheriff. I am proud to know you.

I got this USMC emblem Bud has on his backrest. Bud is a former Marine and you know the saying: Once a Marine, Always a Marine. And there are no EX Marines, they are all Former Marines...

All hydrated back up, we get ready to leave Henrietta & the DQ
