Ride To Vernon Texas 10-10-09

Saturday, 10-10-09, was the first day I could get back on Ms. Clone & go for a ride, since Aug 30, 09. So, I called Bud up and we decided to ride to Vernon Texas (50 miles West of here) and back. Last time I was on the bike, it was in the 80's, so I only threw on my leather jacket & summer touring gloves. Little did I know that the wind chill of 42 degrees would seem a lot colder. My legs & fingers were COLD when we got to Vernon. But, such is life..Scroll down for this short post and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

I went by and got Bud at his house and we rode down to Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles, so he could make an appointment for his 600 mile check up. Bud just bought this 09 Yamaha Venture. Here is Bud as we head East down Seymour Hwy.. For more on Eddie Hills Fun Cycles, see this link: http://www.eddiehillsfuncycles.com/

We leave Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles and head North on US 287. Here is Red River Harley Davidson as we go over the City View Dr. overpass. For more on Red River Harley Davidson, see this link: http://www.redriverharley-davidson.com/

We get to Vernon Texas and I pull over to get the picture of the Vernon Texas landscape sign. Here is Bud as he parks behind me

We then rode into Vernon, to Bevo's Drive-in to get a cup of coffee and warm up. Here are the bikes as we look at the front window...The coffee did it's job. It warmed us up for the ride home. For more on Bevo's, see this link: http://local.yahoo.com/info-18914095-bevos-drive-inn-vernon
This will conclude this short post. The ride was just the thing to get us primed for our Chapter run to Stephenville Texas, which was scheduled for Sunday 10-11-09.
