Bill's New Bike, Tucson Arizona 10-5-09

Every Spring, I ride non-stop from here (Wichita Falls Texas) to see my best friend, Bill, in Tucson Arizona. He told me a month ago that he had bought another motorcycle, a 2009 Triumph Rocket III. Now, Bill has several other motorcycles: a 1973 Kawasaki Z-1, a 1977 Triumph Bonneville Jubilee Special Edition, a 2006 Harley Fat Boy, and a 2008 Triumph 900cc Bonneville. Today, I finally received some pictures of Bill, Gina & his Rocket III. Scroll down and meet Bill & Gina and see the latest addition to his motorcycle family, the Triumph Rocket III & REMEMBER: IF YA WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

This is Gina & Bill & his 2006 Harley Fat boy. Bill & I have known each other since 1974 when we met a Shaw AFB, South Carolina. I was TDY there from Robins AFB, Georgia.

Here is Bill and his new Triumph Rocket III. This bike is nothing but raw power. Bill says he has had it up to 142 mph but had to shut down because he was starting to get blown around a bit.

This is Gina fixin' to get on the Triumph. Bill says she loves this bike..

Bill astride the Triumph. This thing is 2300 cc. For more on this bike & its specs, see the following link: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/24645/Buyers-Guide-Specifications/2009-Triumph-Rocket-III-Classic.aspx

Gina astride the Triumph Rocket III. The only bad thing I hear about this bike, is the gas mileage..Bill says it only gets about 35 mpg.. But that's not too bad at 140 mph...(grin)

Gina is the rider's position.. You can tell by her big smile, that she really enjoys this bike

A side view of the Rocket III. Bill says he put those exhaust pipes on. They are made by Triumph and Bill says that when the bike idles, it sounds like a diesel truck...

A view from the front right. This is not a motorcycle for the feint of heart...

The Triumph Rocket III has a humongous rear tire.

This will conclude this post. I look forward to my trip out to Tucson next year. I hope to talk Bill into letting me take the Rocket III out for a little spin.
