Ms. Clone Gets Legalized 10-9-09

Yesterday, Thursday, 10-8-09, I went to the Doc for a follow-up and he cut me loose to ride the bike again, which was great!!! What was not great was that it rained and rained hard from about 20 minutes after I left his office and well into the night. Today, Friday, 10-9-09, I got up and the roads were dry. It was overcast and looked nasty but wasn't raining. I climbed onto Ms. Clone and rode down the street to Jim's Bike Detail Shop to see Jim. Scroll down for this brief post and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE...
The reason I rode to Jim's Bike Detail Shop to see Jim was that Ms. Clone needed a new State safety inspection sticker. In Texas, a vehicle has to have this sticker replaced yearly to be legally on the street. This is Jim's reaction when he removed my old sticker & saw it had expired in Dec. 08. Ooops, my bad!

If you click on the pic, you can see the inspection was clearly expired...

Ms. Clone (blue & silver) got fixed up with the sticker and then Jim had to detail that red Harley

Some of the bikes in the office, The black & white bike is a 1988 Harley Police Bike and the other Harley belongs to Tammy, Jim's girlfriend.

This is a 2001 Harley Heritage Softail Classic with 16,000 miles and loads of extras. Jim has it for sale for $8,000.

This is Jim, owner of Jim's Bike Detail Shop and a great friend. If you need your bike detailed, an oil change, wash & vacuum, a state inspection or something else, give Jim a call at 940-691-1121 and make an appointment or ask him about any special needs you may have. If he can help you, he certainly will. Jim's Bike Detail Shop is located at 5400 SouthWest Parkway, on the Northwest corner at the intersection of Barnett Rd & Southwest Parkway, right across from Memorial Stadium, here in our great city of Wichita Falls Texas..

Okay, mystery question of the week. Now, if ya know Jim or have been out to the shop, you'll know. If not, guess the kind of vehicle is under the tarp in the garage. If ya guess right, I will send you a Jim's Bike Detail Shop business card and one of our famous North Texas Bikers orange cards I give out to all the new folks I meet on the runs, rides & trips across the U.S.

AND here it is, ladies & gentlemen. My new inspection sticker on Ms. Clone. I can now ride without fear of getting stopped and getting one of the $200 Expired inspection sticker tickets from one of the City, county or state law enforcement officers.

Speaking of Fear, everybody that knows me knows that I HATE spiders. ALL SPIDERS!! The only good spider, in my eyes, is a dead spider.. When I was a kid I was scared crapless of them. Well, my mom, also remembered and I got a package in the mail today. I opened it and this is what my mom sent me, this t-shirt. .She is in her 70's & has one heck of a sense of humor. I seriously believe that she is where I got my sense of humor from. I love this t-shirt and ya'll can look for it in future posts as I plan on wearing it a LOT. Starting with this Sunday's run down to Stephenville Texas and the Hard Eight BBQ Pit. Thanks Mom, it's hilarious & I Shall wear it.
This will conclude this post. It was great to get back on the bike again after six weeks. Ms. Clone is up for sale now and the day she sells, is the day I get my new Harley. If ya know anyone looking for a great bike, have them contact me please. I would be beholding to ya...
Tomorrow, weather permitting, Bud & I are going for a little 100-125 mile spin around the area. For him, it is to help restore his confidence with his biking abilities following his motorcycle accident on I-35 & US 82 on Aug 30, 09.. For me, it's to get re-acclimated to being back on the bike after a 6 week hiatus.. It will be good for both of our souls..
